A former teacher (Teach for America-Los Angeles and Loyola Marymount Universty, M.A.-Secondary Education), I enjoy sharing my passion for writing as a youth writing mentor, coach or instructor. As the current Writing Coach at Children's PressLine, I guide kids in writing articles for mass media outlets. Working with other non-profit programs, I also help at-risk and/or high-achieving youth craft fiction and non-fiction pieces and prepare for essay tests.
